Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized speech and language therapy services as a bilingual (Spanish/English) Speech Language Pathologist to support school-aged children (K-5) in an onsite, itinerant role. This contract position offers part-time hours (20-30 hours per week) with flexibility for remote report writing. The role is based in Richardson, TX, serving pediatric students requiring speech and language evaluations and intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals.
- Participate in meetings and provide ongoing progress reports.
- Manage documentation and report writing, with the option to complete reports remotely.
- Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate bilingual (Spanish/English) students in a culturally responsive manner.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in schools or similar settings.
- Familiarity with school-based speech therapy practices and evaluations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and educators.
- Ability to work onsite in an itinerant model, traveling between schools within the designated area.
